Rok 2020 bol vyhlásený za Medzinárodný rok zdravotnej sestry a zdá sa, že nie náhodou, keďže v tom istom roku došlo k pandémii. Táto pandémia ešte výraznejšie zdôraznila zásadnú úlohu, ktorú zdravotné sestry zohrávajú a to nielen pri iktovej starostlivosti, ale aj pri všetkých patologických stavoch. And, if something could define stroke-specialized nurses from SEDENE (Spanish Neurological-Specialized Nurses Society) it is their proactive and brave attitude since before the pandemic for giving stroke patients’ lives a chance.

Spoločne s konzultantmi Angels zorganizovali virtuálne školenie pre španielsky hovoriace krajiny (https://angels-sedene.livetraining.digital/) zamerané na nové virtuálne príležitosti, ktoré teraz zdravotné sestry majú, na zlepšenie ďalšieho sledovania pacientov.

Navrhli tiež videoprojekt s odporúčaniami pre zdravotné sestry, pacientov a opatrovateľov o postakútnej fáze, (https://sedene.com/contenido-digital/videos/ictus/), a množstvo iniciatív na zdieľanie skúseností a poznatkov medzi zdravotnými sestrami z celého sveta. For that reason and more, we created the following video to honor our nurses in Spain recognizing all the effort they put into the creation of a stroke-specialized nurse community all around the country.
